Oblate Youth Summer Camp 2012

On July 30th, OYS members from the Anglo-Irish Oblate Province gathered in Blue Peris, Caernafor, North Wales for the annual Oblate Youth Summer Camp, where we welcomed over twenty 12-14 year olds who would spend the week taking part in action packed activities whilst at the same time developing faith.

As the group got to know eachother it was clear to see that we were going to have a great week. Soon enough we got into the full swing and spent the week rock climbing, river rafting and walking through the coal mines deep under the mountains. During the evenings we spent the time building our faith through various different methods such as prayer, group work and spending some time on reflection.

Before we knew it the week was over and to all who where involved with the organising we could see what an amazing effect the week had had on the teenagers. After an exhausting but action packed week they were already asking if they could come back next year!

Finally a massive thankyou to all who who helped organise the event and thankyou to all the participents for yet another great week in North Wales.
