 Situated outside Johannesburg, Little Eden is a residential care center for children with mental and physical disabilities. A place of compassion, understanding and love, it enables the young people to develop and enhance their quality of life.
Little Eden consist of two homes: one at Edenvale and a 43 ha farm in Bapsfontein about 20 miles away. Residents include people with mental illness, disturbed behavior, multiple physical disabilities and epilepsy. They are divided according to age and abilities to ensure each receives care and stimulation in the best environment for their needs.
Children at Little Eden benefit from 24 hour nursing care and a full programme of physical, occupational, speech and hydro-therapy, reflexology, art and music.
Smaller children and those requiring frequent medical care generally live at Edenvale, whilst older residents and those more mobile are better suited to life at the farm.
